La Roccia
Sleeps 4 + 2

La Roccia is named after the massive boulder built into the house. Downstairs, this traditional two-storey farmhouse has a large eat-in kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom with a shower. Upstairs you’ll find a double sitting room, a double bedroom and a bathroom with a tub. There is a sofabed in the sitting room.
There are two open fires, one in the kitchen and one in the sitting room, which are dreamlike in the autumn and winter. The house overlooks the valley and has two private, outside terraces.
The small touches make a stay at Borgo della Madonnina special. The houses date from the mid 1700s and have many original features, including exposed stone walls and original ceilings with chestnut beams and cotto tiles.
The overall feel is light and airy, with simple but thoughtful décor, pleasant furniture, pretty bedding and plenty of fresh towels. You’ll also find fresh flowers and a small selection of books.
Each house has a new colour television and DVD / CD player – which we can remove if you prefer. A welcome pack will allow you to prepare a simple meal from local ingredients and enjoy a glass of wine on arrival.
